The BSG welcomes nurse specialists/AHPs/key workers in academic or research roles related to sarcoma. 

We have an active community of nurses and AHP’s within the BSG with dedicated regional events designed purely around you. We have CNS and AHP’s representatives on the board who ensure that your voice is heard and supported across all areas of Sarcoma care.

Christine Millman is a Sarcoma Clinical Nurse Specialist at North Bristol NHS Trust, based at Southmead Hospital. She provides expert support to patients throughout their sarcoma treatment pathway, offering clinical guidance, compassionate care, and continuity across multidisciplinary services. Christine plays a key role in patient education, service coordination, and improving the overall experience for individuals living with rare cancers. She is committed to advancing sarcoma care through ongoing professional development and collaboration with regional and national teams.

Debbie Artis is a Sarcoma Physiotherapist at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, specialising in rehabilitation for patients undergoing treatment for sarcoma and complex musculoskeletal cancers. She provides tailored physiotherapy programmes aimed at restoring function, improving mobility, and enhancing quality of life throughout the treatment pathway. Debbie works closely within multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, patient‑centred care. She is committed to service development, patient education, and advancing rehabilitation practices to support individuals living with rare and challenging conditions.

Johanne Vass is a Sarcoma Advanced Nurse Practitioner at Swansea Bay University Health Board, providing specialist expertise and compassionate support to patients throughout their sarcoma care journey. With a strong focus on personalised care, she coordinates treatment pathways, offers clinical guidance, and plays an integral role within the multidisciplinary team. Johanne is committed to service improvement, patient education, and advancing sarcoma nursing practice across the region.

Sian Alsousou is a Sarcoma Clinical Nurse Specialist at Liverpool University Hospitals, providing dedicated support to patients throughout their sarcoma diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. She plays a central role in coordinating care, offering expert clinical guidance, and ensuring a compassionate, patient‑centred approach across the multidisciplinary team. Sian is committed to improving patient experience, advancing sarcoma nursing practice, and contributing to service development within the regional sarcoma network.

Sherron Furtado is a Senior Sarcoma Research Therapist at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, where she plays a key role in delivering and supporting clinical research for patients with sarcoma. With extensive experience in specialised rehabilitation and research coordination, Sherron works closely with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and advance evidence‑based practice. She is committed to enhancing the patient experience, contributing to innovative studies, and helping to shape future developments in sarcoma care and therapy.
